Address 2008

This year's event was held Tuesday, February 12th, at the Wood County District Public Library. Mayor John Quinn gave a brief speech, followed by a Q & A panel. The event was presented by Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce.

Grants Administration

Municipal Administration
The Municipal Administrator is responsible for the everyday operations that occur in the city. The Municipal Administrator also serves as the city's Directory of Safety.

Personnel

The Personnel Department is responsible for recruitment of personnel, maintenance of employee records, administration of employee benefits and of the City's employee safety program. The Personnel Department also serves as support for the Bowling Green Civil Service Commission.

Planning
Responsible for zoning laws, land use and going out of business related affairs, and is also home to the Planning Commission, Board of Appeals, and the Outdoor
Advertising Committee.

Public Utilities
Provides electric, water and sewer services in Northwest Ohio. Bowling Green utilities provide low costs, excellent customer service and accurate meter readings.

Public Works
Responsible for handling daily reuses and recycling, which includes heavy brush, leaf, and Christmas tree pickups. Also responsible for street and parking lot sweeping, plowing and repair. Also works with the City Arborist on city tree maintenance.

Safety
The Bowling Green Police Department is a nationally accredited law enforcement agency that hopes to increase the quality of life experienced in the city's neighborhoods. Also looks to involve the community in decisions that directly effect them.
