Ms. Myles-Valle receives hundreds of requests a year for her delicious and delightful wedding cakes. She prides herself on the fact that her shop is not "classical," but rather tailored to those customers who "want a cake just for them." The preliminary consultation for a wedding cake takes about an hour. During this meeting, she discusses a variety of design possibilites with the couple, integrating their ideas, wants, and needs with her own intuition to create something that will blend with the existing wedding elements. She encourages couples to integrate designs and color-combinations from any number of sources, from existing cakes to the selected flower arrangements, place settings, or the wedding gown itself. And right before their eyes, she'll tailor her sketches as the ideas progress.
