Grumpy Dave's Comedy Night
There are a number of bars and clubs in downtown Bowling Green that offer entertainment, but only one provides live stand-up comedy. Grumpy Dave's Pub, located above Easystreet Cafe on South Main St., continues to host stand up comedy every Tuesday night throughout the year.
When Dave Harper founded Grumpy Daves in 1987 one of his interests for the bar was to create a comfortable atmosphere with different types of entertainment on different nights of the week. Comedy Night eventually developed on Tuesdays and has been a crowd favorite for a number of years, playing host to local, regional and national acts.
Comedy Night often hosts comedians that have performed on HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime and even the Tonight Show. Comedy Night at Grumpy Daves is also a great venue for up and coming local comedians. Steve Sabo, owner of Inside Joke Productions, currently does bookings for the weekly shows and he considers it important to give local comedians a chance for quality stage time.
Admission to the shows is for 18 and older and there's a small cover charge (tickets are discounted for BGSU students). Don't miss your opportunity to laugh and enjoy some unique weekly entertainment in Bowling Green at Comedy Night at Grumpy Daves.
