Art-A-Site
Retired Bowling Green art teacher Becky Laabs opened Art-A-Site Gallery and Studio in July of 2008 with the mission to provide a showcase for the work of area artists and a place where individuals can find help to develop their art and creative skills.
Classes and workshops for both adults and children are offered on a regular basis throughout the year. Classes cover a variety of techniques ranging from drawing, water color painting, crafts and more. Labb's inspiration to provide the children's classes draws from her memories of her childhood when her parents took her to the Berlin Art Center which was also located in downtown Bowling Green at the time. Labb's feels things have come full circle now that she is able to provide classes for other children in the community.
The Art-A-Site gallery always has on display a large selection of work in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, ceramics, fiber art, enamel, jewelry and more, as well as a collection of clothing and other functional items. Area artists interested in submitting their work for consideration for showing at Art-A-Site can stop in to setup an appointment.
Everything shown in Art-A-Site is available for sale and there is always a wide range of price points available to select from. The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday and also has a variety of exhibits throughout the year with special showings.
