Since 1985 the city of Bowling Green has held an annual Community Holiday Parade on the weekend before Thanksgiving. The first Parade traveled only a few blocks. It had only 6 units, including the Bowling Green High School band and cheerleaders, the Jeepsters, and the North Baltimore High School band, and it starred Santa Claus.

Area History Archiving
The Area History Archiving (AHA) project is an effort to work with area residents to help them archive historical narratives and memorabilia, and to share the collected materials through a network of area organizations who provide various options for presenting them.
Boom Town Houses
Have you ever wondered what Bowling Green was like when the town was just beginning to grow? The year is 1884 and the small farming town of Bowling Green, located in Plain and Center townships, is expanding exponentially. Up until recently this was a peaceful agricultural community.
Civil War Museum
In December of 2006, Mark Young opened the American Civil War Museum of Ohio (ACWMO) in downtown Bowling Green. His vision as curator of the museum is to allow people to gain an understanding of the Civil War beyond what they may have gotten in school textbooks and other common sources.
